Fans of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next royal baby. As the royal couple is about to become first-time parents, they have also made a major change in their lives.
"Amid the creation of a new office for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – a break from their previous joint 'court' at Kensington Palace with Kate Middleton and Prince William – the royal parents-to-be have appointed Sara Latham as the head of their communications team, the palace announced Thursday," PEOPLE reported.
The move comes as no surprise for those who know the couple well. They have been very open in the past about their admiration for Democratic candidates, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Meghan openly supported Clinton during her 2016 Presidential campaign.
"Latham acted as a senior advisor for Clinton’s 2016 campaign from August 2015 until the November 2016 election, according to her LinkedIn profile. She joins Meghan and Harry’s team from public relations company Freuds, 'where she oversaw global corporate accounts with a particular emphasis on executive thought leadership and purpose-led campaigns,' according to the palace," PEOPLE continued.
Latham also holds dual citizenship for the U.K. and the United States. She has experience with the U.K. government and was a Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media, Sport and Olympics in 2012.
