Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have arrived in Australia. The royal couple touched down in Sydney early Monday local time, reported PEOPLE.
They arrived hand-in-hand in a low-key manner, The couple walked off the plane hand-in-hand just after 7 a.m.
Meghan looked lovely in a black coat with maroon detailing. She also wore fitted black pants and heels, while carrying a stack of folders.
Along with the happy couple came a group of 10, which included two private secretaries (Samantha Cohen and Amy Pickerill), three communications staffers, a program coordinator, a digital journalist, an orderly, a hairdresser, and a personal assistant.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be in the area for a 16-day tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. The tour officially begins in Sydney on Tuesday.
The will also visit the popular tourist spot of Dubbo, in New South Wales, Melbourne for the Invictus Games. The Invictus Games run from October 20 through October 27.
After, they will travel to Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island, that sits just off Australia’s Queensland coast. The tour ends on October 31 at the lakeside town of Rotorua in New Zealand, which is known for its bubbling mud pools fueled by the geothermal activity, and traditional Maori culture, notes People.
“The program across these four Commonwealth counties will focus on youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts — including the dedication of several new Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy projects — and the recovery and rehabilitation of servicemen and woman through the Invictus Games Sydney 2018,” the couple’s office at Kensington Palace said in a statement.
