There are some traditions that Meghan and Harry are breaking. For one, she won't be having a maid of honor. But that doesn't mean that tradition isn't important to the couple.
According to People, there's one tradition that they'll definitely be following. It has to do with Meghan Markle's eagerly anticipated wedding dress.
Since Meghan is an actress, fans have already seen her character on "Suits wearing a wedding dress. However, reports say her dress won't look like Rachel's dress when she married Mike Ross.
Just like fans of the royal family won't see the dress before Meghan walks down the aisle, Harry won't see it. In a press briefing on Friday, according to People, the palace confirmed that the first time Harry will see Meghan in her wedding gown will be when she walks down the aisle.
“That tradition is very important to them,” a palace spokesman said.
Another tradition will also be followed by the couple. The palace confirmed that Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, will be walking her down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel on May 19.
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, will also be by her daughter's side. According to the palace, she's riding with her daughter to Windsor Castle the morning of the wedding.
“Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion,” the palace announced.
Meghan will be following another royal tradition with her bouquet. While in general brides toss their bouquets to the single women attending the wedding, Meghan's bouquet will likely end up in Westminster Abbey/
"Most royal brides (including Kate Middleton and Princess Diana) have sent their floral bouquets back to the Abbey to rest on the Grave of the Unknown Soldier, a place of remembrance for fallen soldiers since 1920," explained People.
