Ross MickelLauren and Remy, Lauren’s daughter, were among six passengers and a pilot who died on Sunday, Sept. 4. As of Tuesday September 6, only one body was found.
The family was on board a floatplane that crashed into Puget Sound, Washington, Sunday September 4. Local NBC affiliate KING 5 reports that the plane crashed around 30 miles northwest from downtown Seattle after it was flying from Friday Harbor, a tourist destination.
TheSmash41-year-old alum has not yet released a statement to the tragedy. A statement from the entire family revealed that Lauren was a mother to a boy at the time she died.
“We are deeply saddened and beyond devastated at the loss of our beloved Ross Mickel, Lauren Hilty, Remy and their unborn baby boy, Luca,” the family’s statement read. “Our collective grief is unimaginable. They were a bright, shining light in the lives and hearts of all who knew them. Their time with us was too brief, but we will continue their legacy. We thank all the first responders and emergency service agencies on Whidbey Island, Island County and the United States Coast Guard, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and the private citizens who assisted in the search and rescue effort following the crash. We have been overwhelmed by the support and outpouring of love from family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones who lost their loved ones onboard. At this difficult time, we are requesting that our privacy be respected as we grieve the loss of our family members.”
Ross Andrew Wineries has been owned by Ross Andrew Wineries since over 20 years. The Washington State Wine Commission also released an announcement about Ross and his family.
“We are deeply saddened by the news about Ross Mickel and his family,” the organization said via King 5. “Ross had an incredible impact on the Washington wine community and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his loved ones as they navigate this extraordinarily difficult time.”
Megan was born in Washington and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She began her acting career on Broadway, and then later in film and television. She is married to her husband. Brian Gallagher share two children, Viola, 7, and Ronan, 5.
