Max Lucado BRILLIANTLY Sums Up Heaven, Hell In THESE 2 Sentences

Heaven is a far more popular topic than hell for obvious reasons. Nobody likes to think about eternal punishment for themselves or their loved ones, and most people would rather it didn't exist. But the Bible makes it clear that hell is a real place of utter torment.

As Salvation Army founder William Booth once famously said to a student, “If I had my choice, I wouldn’t send you to school, I’d send you to Hell for five minutes, and you’d come back real soul winners.”

To start off the week, pastor and author Max Lucado wrote on his Twitter page, brilliantly summing up the reality of what heaven and hell are like in just two sentences:

"Thanks to Christ, this earth can be the nearest you come to hell. But apart from Christ, this earth is the nearest you’ll come to heaven."

Do you think he hits the nail right on the head with this?

John 3:16 — For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
