The city of Austin, Texas was recently struck with a tragic series of events that killed and injured several people. An anonymous person was sending package bombs to random homes, which left 2 people dead and at least 6 others wounded.
The bomber was eventually identified as 23-year-old Mark Anthony Conditt. Conditt committed suicide before authorities could detain him, so his motive for the attacks remains unknown.
One of the victims who died in the string of bombings was 17-year-old Draylen Mason. WWE star Mark Henry was reportedly a family friend of the victim and opened up about the heartbreaking situation with TMZ.
"It's very unfortunate that the young kid [Draylen Mason] died; he was a friend of our family," Henry revealed. "I knew the kid pretty well; I know his grandfather really well...We spent a lot of time together.”
He continued, “It was just tragic to lose a kid like that so young and so full of life. He was talented, a talented bassist. He traveled, competed, it was just a hard loss."
Henry also said that he was praying for the family of the first responder who was injured when Conditt killed himself. Conditt took his own life via suicide bombing and sadly injured one of the officers trying to detain him.
