Tragic Update on Maleah Davis After Mother's Ex-Boyfriend Makes Startling Confession

Derion Vence, who was the fiancé of four-year-old Maleah Davis' mother, has confessed that she is dead, reported local news. Earlier, he had claimed that she was kidnapped.

Vence, a person of interest in Maleah's disappearance, made the confession to Quanell X, the leader of the New Black Panther Nation in Houston, Texas. The confession reportedly happened in the jail on Friday morning.

Quanell X, who was formerly representing Maleah's mother, held a press conference with Texas EquuSearch founder Tim Miller just before noon. He says Vence told him that Maleah's death was an accident.

He admitted to dumping Maleah's body in a ditch in Arkansas. He did not say how she died.

“One thing [Vence] wanted to make clear to me was that what happened to Maleah was an accident,” Quanell said. "He confessed to me where he dumped her body."

Quanell did not disclose the exact location of where Maleah's body was dumped. Search crews are traveling to Arkansas to recover her body.

This tragic news comes almost four weeks after an Amber Alert was issued for Maleah. At the time, Vence claimed that he, Maleah, and her half brother were all kidnapped. He claimed that the kidnapper dumped him and the boy, but kept Maleah.

Maleah's mother, Brittany Bowens and her ex-fiance Vence have both been criticized by the public for their changing accounts. They also have a disturbing history with Child Protective Services.

Bowens initially defended Vence. Later, she implicated him in Maleah's death. She threw several shocking allegations against him, including abuse of her daughter.

Please pray for everyone who cared for this little girl. This is a traffic end to her AMBER alert.
