A shooting at a Kansas school has claimed a life. The shooting happened on Tuesday morning.
ABC news reported that one of the two victims—contractors who were shot while they were installing playground equipment. They were shot by a co-worker, police said.
The victims were not employed by the elementary school. They were hospitalized in critical condition after the incident at Sunrise Point Elementary School in Overland Park, Kansas.
According to police, the shooting was the result of an argument between the coworker and the victims. The school is out of session and there were no children on the property.
After the shooting, the suspect got into a car at the elementary school. He later tried to carjack a car at another location but failed. Finally, he carjacked another car.
The suspect has since been safely taken into custody, police said.
