Major Update About Deadly Bus Crash With Kids Returning from Disney World

A tragic story has just been reported on Tuesday morning. According to reports, a bus carrying high school band students has crashed into a ravine in Alabama.

There were 45 people on board at the time of the crash. At least one person has died and another 20 have been taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries in the accident. The video below captures just how far the bus fell:

Now, reports are stating that the passenger who was killed is the driver of the bus. The name of the driver has not been released at this time. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the accident.

The band was returning from a fun trip to Disney World. The class is originally from Houston, Texas. Details are still coming in from the scene. The bus appears to have crashed down a ravine in between two bridges.

"The students are from Channelview High School," said Mark Kramer, spokesman for the Channelview Independent School District. "At this time, details are limited. We are in contact with law enforcement in Alabama trying to obtain further information."

Dewayne Benson, 15, was on one of two buses traveling home from Walt Disney World, according to his sister, Sydney Benson. “He was asleep until the band director started screaming," Benson told ABC News.
