Former White House aide, Jason Miller, confirmed today that he fathered a child with one of President Trump’s transition advisors during the 2016 campaign. Miller, who was named the White House Communications Director in December, confirmed both the birth and the affair to Page Six, and it has also been confirmed by The Hill.
“My wife and I, along with our two daughters, are excited to welcome William into the world and into our family, and we appreciate the well wishes we’ve received from so many,” said Miller.
The child’s mother is the Trump campaign’s former senior adviser A.J. Delgado. Delgado now lives in Florida, and she is also not connected to the Trump administration anymore.
Miller backed out of the White House Communications Director position two days after he accepted it. His excuse at the time was that he needed to make his family a priority. His wife gave birth of a baby girl in January, seven months before Delgado also gave birth to his child.
On Tuesday, Delgado tweeted to announce the birth of her first child, William, in July.
“Dear friends,” she wrote. “Beyond thrilled to share with you that I'm now the proud mother of a beautiful son (!), William!!! Born 7/10"
She also tweeted to say that Miller, who she did not initially name as the father, has not helped her out financially.
“Actually the father did not/has not sent the child even a $1, or a single gift/item. I have had to pay for/cover everything myself.” https://twitter.com/AJDelgado13/status/895088410175483904
After Miller gave his statement to Page Six, Delgado confirmed the story via Twitter. She also used the platform to voice her issues with Page Six’s facts.
Delgado also took issue with Miller’s statement. She questioned him saying that he and his wife are happy to welcome her son into their lives, and she asked why he even spoke to Page Six in the first place.
This is just the latest scandal to surround the White House Communications Director. The position has been followed by drama, including Sean Spicer's resignation and Anthony's Scaramucci's divorce and departure only ten days later.
