26-Year-Old Music Artist Arrested After Being Involved in Car Crash, Fleeing the Scene

Early Thursday morning around 1:00 AM, top-charting music artist Mac Miller was arrested. He was allegedly involved in a car crash, then fled the scene.

 

Mac Miller has released several hit songs over the years including “Smile Back” and “Loud.” One of his earlier albums “Blue Slide Park” debuted at number on the US Billboard 200 chart, and additionally, he has worked with several other hit artists including Ariana Grande and Pharrell Williams.

He is also well-known as the former boyfriend of Grammy-nominated singer Ariana Grande. The two were dating from 2016 until early May of this year.

According to TMZ, Miller was driving around in San Fernando Valley, California when he crashed his car into a power pole, which fell over. He and his two passengers left the scene on foot.

The Los Angeles Police Department ran the plates on the car discovering the driver was Miller. Cops arrived at his home address, where Miller quickly confessed to drunk driving and fleeing the scene.

One officer stated, “He was the most polite and nice intoxicated person we’ve ever seen.”

The rapper was taken into custody with a bail set at $15,000. As of early Thursday afternoon, there has been no confirmation of his release or any reports of injuries from the accident.
