Actor Luke Perry tragically died on March 4 after a massive stroke. The 52-year-old had many plans for his life before it was cut short.
One of those was marrying his fiancée, Wendy Madison Bauer. The couple had already sent out save the dates for a summer wedding when he died.
The couple was set to tie the knot in Summer 2019. Their save the dates asked people to celebrate with them on August 17, reported TMZ.
The card doesn't reveal any other details about their planned nuptials. It simply says that a formal invitation would follow.
The save the date cards did hint at the theme of the wedding. It was gray and gold with a Naive Inline-type font. It evoked a very Old Hollywood, Great Gatsby-esque vibe.
Bauer spoke out for the first time since Perry's passing over the weekend. She thanked people for their support of her since Perry's passing.
She said, "The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him,” she continues, “I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed."
Our sincere condolences to Bauer and all of Perry's family. Please pray for peace and comfort for the family.
