Days after suffering a stroke, actor Luke Perry has passed away. He died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank after suffering a massive stroke.
According to his rep, Luke was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.
TV star Luke Perry, who is best known for his role on CW's "Riverdale" suffered a stroke on Wednesday. He was rushed to the hospital and sedated to give his brain a chance to repair.
According to TMZ, paramedics responded to the Riverdale star’s home in Sherman Oaks, California, at around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The call came in for someone suffering a stroke.
Perry, who is also known for his role on 90210, was transported to the hospital. There are no details about his current condition.
A rep for the actor tells PEOPLE, “Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.”
The Blast obtained audio of an emergency dispatch call giving the actor’s address. The person on the line also said he had a stroke.
Perry, 52, stars as Archie’s (KJ Apa) dad, Fred Andrews, on the CW show. According to TMZ, he had been shooting episodes recently in L.A. on the Warner Bros. lot. The network has yet to comment on what this means for the show.
Sorrow over his passing has already begun to flood onto Twitter. Before his death, his costars were praying for a full recovery.
