Vice President Dick Cheney has resurfaced as a household name thanks to a new Hollywood movie that is based on his time in office with President Bush in the early 2000s. The movie characterizes Cheney as a mastermind who is truly running the Oval Office and portrays Bush as a fool without a real understanding of the nation.
Christian Bale plays the role of Cheney in the movie. During an acceptance speech at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Bale crossed the line with a horrible jab at the former VP.
"In case you missed it, Bale's acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film for his portrayal of Cheney in 'Vice' was interesting, to say the least. He literally thanked the devil for giving him inspiration and went on to refer to his infamous 'Terminator' outburst," reported TMZ.
Now, Liz Cheney is speaking out about the insult and is throwing some fire right back at Bale. She tweeted out an old news story regarding Bale's past arrest for assaulting his mother and sister. She wrote that "Satan probably inspired him" in that instance as well.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney has yet to comment on the incident. Twitter went crazy on Sunday after Bale made the despicable remark.
