First Daughter Ivanka Trump celebrated her 36th birthday on Monday, October 30th, 2017. On her birthday, she shared a photo of a special note she received from her 6-year-old daughter, Arabella Kushner. Arabella, who is currently in first grade, is Ivanka’s firstborn child with husband Jared Kushner.
The letter written on an “Ivanka Trump” piece of stationary paper said, “Dear Mom, thank you for giving me birth,” followed by several hearts. Ivanka commented, “Clearly, I’m not the only member of my family who doesn’t understand how birthdays work.”
Sadly, liberals took this as an opportunity to target the Trump family again, using 6-year-old Arabella as the subject. Some made fun of Arabella’s writing and spelling, others commented on the fact that Ivanka’s birthday took place on the same day as Mueller's indictment involving a former Trump campaign member, joking that the young child would end up with both of her parents in prison.
Others thought the message was “sweet” and Trump supporters wished the First Daughter a happy birthday.
This brings back a controversial issue to attention—dragging kids into the midst of political differences. President Donald Trump’s 11-year-old son Barron has also been targeted by liberals since Trump became President of the United States, upsetting many, even Chelsea Clinton who once defended Melania and Barron Trump for being bullied.
