Leading Republican Makes Unusual Suggestion for Who Should be Next FBI Director

Lee’s communication director, Conn Carroll, pointed out Garland’s experience investigating the 1995 bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City.

Republican leadership opposed Obama’s nomination of Garland, citing a long tradition of presidents not nominating Supreme Court justices in their last year of presidency.

But according to ABC News, Lee’s own colleagues are not jumping onboard with his suggestion for Garland either.
