Lamar Odom Reveals He Left Taraji P. Henson Because He “Fell In Love” With Khloe Kardashian, In A 2019 Resurfaced Interview

TV One’s, “Uncensored” where he discussed his past relationship with actress Taraji P. Henson,51 and revealed that he had ended their relationship to be together Khloe Kardashian. Lamar Odom, in the resurfaced clip reflects on his relationship to Taraji and the positive influence she had on him.
“ I met Taraji at a HBO party. I met Taraji and we instantly hit it off. And I really really started liking her…. I just wish that I would have done things differently with them. Although she was older than me, I learned a lot about Black women from her. I used to bring her picture with me when I traveled. Don’t nobody know that, except for the dudes that played with me. She was an inspiration to me. A Black woman working like that… that’s just as good with her craft as I am in my craft.”

The former L.A. Lakers player went on to recall a time the team played the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he “went off on their a**” as he thought about getting back to Taraji P. Henson.
“I remember we were on the road for our longest road trip and we were playing Cleveland. And I went off on their a**, but part of the inspiration of me going back to see her and getting back to L.A., was one of the reasons I kicked their a** that night. I can still remember how I felt during and after that game. She inspired me.”
Despite all his love and inspiration for Taraji, he fell for her. Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom added,
“Things ended with Taraji because me being an immature punk, I didn’t know how to tell her that I was falling in love with another woman named Khloe Kardashian.”

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar OdomAfter a brief romance, they were engaged only weeks after they began dating in 2009. The relationship, including their swiftly planned wedding, was documented on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. The pair even landing their own spinoff show called “Khloe and Lamar” which ran for two seasons from 2011-2012. Their relationship ended in 2013 when the NBA players began to struggle with substance abuse, and rumors of cheating.
