On Monday, September 3, thousands of Americans are enjoying the Labor Day holiday by hosting a barbecue, going camping, or simply relaxing on their day off of work. For top politicians, however, Labor Day is all about evaluating the current employment situation and talking about the future of the economy.
President Trump, Vice President Pence, First Lady Melania, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and several others took to social media to share their thoughts on this special holiday. Below are their posts:
President Trump wrote, “Happy Labor Day! Our country is doing better than ever before with unemployment setting record lows. The U.S. has tremendous upside potential as we go about fixing some of the worst Trade Deals ever made by any country in the world. Big progress being made!”
The official White House Twitter account posted a graphic to celebrate the holiday as well.
They wrote, “Happy Labor Day to our great American workforce!”
First Lady Melania posted a simple, “#HappyLaborDay” with a link to the White House Twitter account.
Press Secretary Sanders wrote, “Our economy is booming, millions are working again, and our country is back on the right track thanks to @realDonaldTrump’s policies. Happy Labor Day!”
