“Keeping up with the Kardashians” star Khloe Kardashian recently welcomed her first child into the world with her boyfriend — NBA player Tristan Thompson. Shortly after the birth, Khloe announced in a heartwarming statement that they named their daughter True Thompson.
Only days before the delivery, Tristan was accused of cheating on Khloe several times during her pregnancy. Given the scandal, Kardashian fans pointed out the irony of their daughter’s name “True.”
Twitter erupted with comments suggesting True “clearly wasn’t named after her father” and were also bashing Khloe for giving the baby Tristan’s last name. On Tuesday, the family revealed surprising details about why Khloe decided on True Thompson.
On Instagram, Khloe’s mother Kris Jenner told her followers that the name “True” actually runs in their family. Both Kris’s father and grandfather had “True” in their name.
According to PEOPLE, Khloe never questioned giving their daughter Tristan’s last name even after the cheating allegations. Although Khloe and Tristan have not commented on the matter, sources have reportedly assured the couple is “in this together” and she hopes to trust and forgive him.
The first photo of their child has not yet been released to the public; however, Khloe did reveal her daughter's measurements. True was born 6 lbs, 13oz and is 21 inches tall.
The new mom also made headlines recently for having these 3 Biblical items in her daughter’s nursery.
