At the beginning of November, 47-year-old reality TV star Kenya Moore and 48-year-old Marc Daly welcomed their newborn daughter into the world.
Brooklyn Doris was born on November 4, after a complicated pregnancy that was full of scares. Now, Kenya has opened up about her long journey to reach motherhood, including a vast amount of heartbreak.
She shared adorable photos on her social media accounts and interviewed with PEOPLE about the beautiful ending to a long story.
Kenya took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of her newborn!
In the PEOPLE article, Kenya wrote, "I finally have everything I've dreamed of. She's so perfect in many ways." She added that Brooklyn makes "101 faces!"
She continued, "This little angel...so beautiful. I feel so blessed. It's all been so worth it."
Kenya Moore and Marc Daly in 2016 and the two hit it off instantly. In June 2017, they got married in an intimate ceremony in St. Lucia. They told reporters that they were ready to start a family right away!
In March, the couple announced that they were expecting! They had the help of in vitro fertilization and experienced several turbulent moments throughout the pregnancy.
At first, doctors thought it was a false pregnancy. Later, they thought Moore was having an ectopic pregnancy. More recently, doctors realized Moore had preeclampsia, which could have led to a fatal outcome.
Ultimately, Moore had to be rushed to surgery and pumped with anti-seizure medication. After several hours and then an emergency cesarean section that was scary and full of "complications," Brooklyn finally made her appearance into the world.
Moore said that after Brooklyn was born, her doctor quipped, 'This was one for the books!'"
Thankfully, after many trials, mother and baby both seem to be doing well!
