Luke Perry's recent passing has left a massive hole in the hearts of his fans as well as his close friends and family. Social media has been filled with touching tributes praising the young actor for his incredible career and his off-screen integrity.
Perry died this week after suffering a massive stroke. Many were shocked by his death. He was only 52-years-old at the time of his passing.
Now, Kelly Ripa is speaking out about her close friend, Luke. She nearly broke down in tears while discussing his passing on her show, "Live With Kelly and Ryan."
“It’s a tough day around here, it really is,” the 49-year-old former soap star said. We lost great friend to the show; a great guy. Luke Perry passed away yesterday very, very, very shockingly. And I am still stunned,” she admitted. “I woke up this morning thinking that there had to have been a mistake.”
Ripa then went on to discuss what so many other people already have said: that Luke was simply a wonderful human being both on and off the screen.
Ripa continued: “I have to say, this was a good, good man. You won’t see a person say otherwise. He is a good man, a good soul. Conscientious, a gentleman, a dear friend of our family… of the 'Live' family.”
Kelly and Luke truly became friends on the set of the "Riverdale" show. Kelly's husband is an actor in the program and Perry was as well. Kelly also guessed starred in an episode back in January.
Please join us in praying for all of Luke's family and friends. We pray that they grow closer in their faith in God and in their belief that Luke is truly in a wonderful place now.
