
Labour chief Sir Keir Starmer is ready to be investigated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Requirements over claims he could have breached earnings and items guidelines.
Sir Keir advised reporters this morning that “there’s no downside right here”.
Talking on the by-election marketing campaign path in Wakefield, the Labour chief mentioned the probe was not a shock and that his “workplace is coping with it and will likely be replying in the end.”
When quizzed over whether or not he was sure there had been no breaches, Sir Keir mentioned he was: “Completely assured, there’s no downside right here.”
