Major Update Could Throw Final Wrench in Kavanaugh Accuser's Claims Ahead of Hearing

Earlier this summer, President Trump revealed that his official nomination for the Supreme Court would be Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Since then, thousands of documents and hundreds of interviews have been conducted.

Two weeks ago, on the eve of the vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination, a harmful allegation came forward. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accused the judge of sexual assault when the two were in high school 36 years ago. Since then, Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied the accusations.

On Thursday, September 27, both Dr. Ford and Kavanaugh are set to testify before the Judiciary Committee. However, according to Fox News, some interesting information emerged on Wednesday night that could throw a wrench in Ford’s testimony.

According to Fox, Judiciary Committee Republicans just revealed that they have conducted an in-depth interview with a man “who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter with Dr. Ford in 1982 that is the basis of his complaint.” The committee’s first interview with the man was on Monday, and they had a second interview the following day.

On Wednesday, the Committee said that they received a “more in-depth written statement from the man interviewed twice previously who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter in question with Dr. Ford.”

Though this man believes that he was involved in the situation in question and not Judge Kavanaugh, Dr. Ford has previously stated that there is a “zero chance” that she mistook someone else for Kavanaugh.

Another interesting report emerged on Wednesday. More information has come out about one of Kavanaugh’s other accusers, Julie Swetnick, who said that she attended and was assaulted at parties that Kavanaugh was present at and instigated. Julie’s ex-boyfriend, Democrat Richard Vinneccy, has revealed that he had to file a restraining order against Julie after they broke-up in 2001.

Vinneccy said that after the two broke up, Julie began threatening him, even after he later got married.

He said, “Right after I broke up with her, she was threatening my family, threatening my wife and threatening to do harm to my baby at that time. I know a lot about her… She’s not credible at all. Not at all.”

What do you think about the recent developments? Let us know. We will continue to update as the hearing takes place. In other recent news, Kavanaugh just found his yearbook from 1982 and some details may also help clear his name.
