Comedian Kathy Griffin recently grabbed the attention of the entire nation after posting a controversial photo of her holding President Donald Trump’s decapitated head. Griffin announced she wanted to make a political statement, but many were horrified and offended.

Griffin later released an apology video and requested the photo be taken down, but that was not enough. Following the outrage, Griffin was fired from CNN for her annual co hosting position on the New Year’s Eve special and the Secret Service opened an investigation on the incident.

It was recently released that she hired Lisa Bloom as her attorney. In the past, Bloom has represented other celebrities including Bill Cosby and Bill O’Reilly, reports the New York Post.

Her lawyer released a statement via Twitter on Thursday, announcing that the two will be holding a press conference on Friday morning. In her post, she attached a press release explaining the details. The letter states:

“Earlier this week, Ms. Griffin released a controversial photograph of herself posing with a faux-bloody mask of Donald Trump’s face. Ms. Griffin and Ms. Bloom will explain the true motivation behind the image, and respond to the bullying from the Trump family she has endured.”

The press conference is scheduled to go live Friday morning. You can watch the press conference below!
