Duchess Kate and Prince William are back at it again. Everyone's favorite royal couple stepped out together for their first public engagement together since Kate went on maternity leave with Prince Louis.
The couple attended a mental health event in London, which focused on art about mental health issues. In a particularly sweet moment, the future King and Queen of England interacted with Colombia-born contemporary artist Dairo Vargas. He was painting a piece titled “Someone to Turn To,” which was inspired by the inaugural Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit on Tuesday.
The artist asked Kate and William to put their own touches on his painting. William quickly suggested that Kate be the one to try.
He ushered her forward, adding, “My wife, she’s the arty one!”
Kate studied art history at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She took the brush and put a stroke on the shoulder of the figure in the painting after asking the artist where she could "hide it."
After a small stroke, Kate turned to Vargas with a smile and asked, “Fine?”
In a joking moment, Prince William responded: “It’s almost ruined the picture."
After being asked to put his own touch on the painting, William replied, “No, this is probably how you ruin a picture."
But Kate sweetly encouraged her husband, telling him to paint anywhere on the painting that he liked.
“This is a great, great compliment,” Kate told the artist of being able to contribute to his art.
Later, Vargas said Kate and William were “great, very fun.”
Later in the evening, the couple was asked to pose for pictures together. They were meant to act like they were talking to each other, but they soon lost it and ended up laughing together.
It's clear that even after three kids, these two are still in love. It's always so wonderful to see a happily married couple!
