The royal family were present in Sandringham for Christmas with Queen Elizabeth. Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Prince William were all spotted on their way to services on Christmas Day.
Harry and Meghan, who are expecting their first child in the spring, walked alongside Kate and William Ono the family's annual walk to church services at the English countryside Church of St. Mary Magdalene.
Amid rumors of a rift between the so-called Fab Four, Meghan and Kate chatted happily while their husbands walked on either side of them. While the rumors say the Meghan and Kate haven't been able to get along, they certainly seem like happy sisters-in-law on Christmas Day.
Kate was stylish as ever. She sported a festive red coat dress with a matching hat and shoes. She also added her well-loved acorn brooch.
Mother-to-be Meghan also looked lovely in a navy dress. She covered the dress with a matching coat and accessorized with a fascinator.
As they walked up to the 16th-century church, the road was lined by fans of the royal family. They stood out in the cold on Christmas morning in Sandringham, which is 100 miles north of London, to catch a glimpse of the next King and Queen of England.
After church, the royals gathered at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate for a lunch of roast turkey followed by steamed fruit pudding, wrote PEOPLE. They will also watch the Queen's televised Christmas address.
There was a chance that Kate and William wouldn't make an appearance at Christmas. There were reports that they would spend the holiday with Kate’s family.
Since the royal wedding in May, there's reportedly been some tension in the royal family. Harry's marriage to Meghan has changed the dynamic between him and Kate and William.
“Wives do change the dynamic, and they both have very strong wives,” a palace insider tells PEOPLE. “If you bring two independent-minded women from the real world into the royal world, they are going to want to have an impact.”
This news came out as Harry and Meghan announced that they will be moving out of their Kensington Palace cottage, which is just a stone’s throw away from Will and Kate’s home. They will be moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor in 2019 ahead of the birth of their first child.
“[The move] will be the best thing for all of them,” a family friend tells PEOPLE. “Like Meghan and Kate, Harry and William have totally different roles. But the brothers will always come together because they are Diana’s sons.”
