No. 1 fan! Kate Hudson stepped back into her role as ultimate fangirl Penny Lane — only this time, she was cheering on her son.

Sunday, August 21st, the Almost FamousThe 43-year-old actress shared several photos via Instagram showing Ryder Robinson and his band performing at the Mint in Los Angeles.

“Watching my baby 🎸 @mr.ryderrobinson #stagemoms #bestnight 💫,” Hudson captioned the carousel of images, one of which features Ryder, 18 — whom the How to Lose A Guy in 10 DaysEx-husband shares star status with sa star Chris Robinson — shredding his guitar onstage. Ryder’s performance comes just days after an at-home jam session with brother Bingham, 11, whom Hudson shares with ex Matt Bellamy.

“My boys 🥰 What more could a mom ask for other then [sic] boys who play rock and are hilarious at the same time ✅,” the Glee alum captioned the Instagram video of Ryder and Bing playing the electric guitar and drums, respectively. “What a good big brother. We’re gonna miss you big time 😢 #offtocollege #guessthesong.”

Ryder graduated college in June and was the Bride WarsStar paid tribute in a sweet Instagram posting to her oldest child, and his achievements.

“@mr.ryderrobinson you are the most incredible young man. Raising you has been one of the great gifts and pleasures of my life,” she wrote alongside two photos of Ryder after his graduation ceremony. “You bring so much to everyone’s life. You are kind and loving, generous, patient, funny, and unique. I am so excited to start the next chapter. Way to go, baby! Ma loves you!”

Ryder is certainly following in his parents’ footsteps when it comes to musical talent. Dad Chris is the founder of the Black Crowes and the frontman, while mom Hudson has impressive vocal chops.

The Academy Award nominee is also mom to Rani Rose, a 3-year-old daughter, and her partner Danny FujikawaShe is also surrounded with music in her daily life. Hudson shared a photo from the studio in April to announce that she was in the midst of recording her debut record. “Finally realized it’s time to say f#%! It and saaaanngg !!!!!” she captioned the Instagram image. “#albumincoming #myikigai 🎶 🎤.”
