Kanye West has received devastating news. The rapper and public figure is dealing with his father's cancer diagnosis.

According to PEOPLE, his father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is reportedly already receiving treatment.

“Kanye’s dad was diagnosed with cancer and is already receiving treatment,” a Keeping Up with the Kardashians source tells PEOPLE. “He seems to be responding well to the treatment and everyone is hopeful he will be okay.”

Kanye has been leaning on his wife, Kim Kardashian, for support during this hard time. A source says his three children have also helped him deal with the difficult situation.

“Kanye doesn’t really talk about it. You can tell it’s something that’s very difficult for him."

The source added, “When his mom suddenly passed away, Kanye was all alone. Having Kim and the kids around him helps in difficult situations."

Another source underscored how Kim is supporting him through his father's treatment.

“Kim is helping to support Kanye during this tough time — they are always there for each other.”

West lost his mother unexpectedly in 2007 when died of cosmetic surgery complications. Donda West was only 58 at the time.

Kanye was raised by his mother in the Chicago neighborhood of South Shore, explained PEOPLE. She divorced his father, Ray, a former Black Panther, when Kanye was 3.

West discussed his relationship with his father on “Champion,” which appears on his second album "Graduation."

“I ain’t saying we was from the projects / But every time I wanna layaway or deposit / My dad’d say ‘When you see clothes, close your eyelids.’ / We was sort of like Will Smith and his son / In the movie — I ain’t talking ’bout the rich ones,” he rapped.

West went on to add in the song that while he didn’t know “what he did for dough,” every summer his father would “send me back to school with a new wardrobe.”

In a since deleted tweet, he revealed that he cried while writing a song, “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," for his album "The Life of Pablo."

“I cried writing this,” he wrote in a since-deleted Tweet, according to Complex. “I love my dad.”

Please join us in praying for Kanye's father. While prostate cancer is generally treatable, it is still a very serious diagnosis. Let's pray for a safe recovery and for peace for Kanye and his family.

In other news, the FDA has recalled a heart medication because they believe it causes cancer. Please pray for those who have taken the drug.
