Dolly Parton is one of the biggest entertainment legends of all time. The famous singer-songwriter has had a successful career that has spanned generations. She has even become a world famous icon with impersonators trying to match her style and looks around the globe!

However, the Parton family is in mourning today after a tragedy rocked their family. Floyd Estel Parton, a singer-songwriter and Dolly Parton's brother, has passed away.

Floyd was said to have died this past Thursday. He was only 61 years old. At this time, Floyd's cause of death has not been released.

"A renaissance man, Floyd was a man of many talents and areas of knowledge. He was an avid outdoorsman and had an abundant knowledge of nature as well as being an incredible cook," according to his obituary.

Some of his most famous songs were "Rockin' Years," recorded by Dolly Parton and Ricky Van Shelton, and "Nickels and Dimes," recorded by Dolly Parton and later by George Burns, according to Fox News.

Floyd is survived by his siblings, including Dolly, and their spouses. He also has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who are sure to remember him fondly.

Please join us in praying for the entire Parton family as they mourn the loss of their beloved family member. We hope they find comfort in their faith and the promise that one day they will see Floyd again.

Dolly's representative did not respond to a request for comment about the news, according to Fox.
