Just after Harvey, Franklin Graham Shares the West Coast's Scary Situation

The nation is still reeling from the terrible impact of Hurricane Harvey. The New York Post shares Harvey's current death toll: "Harvey’s death toll rose again to at least 50, authorities said, with the addition of an 8-year-old who died after he couldn’t get his asthma treatment during an attack and a man who was found floating in Cypress Creek floodwaters. His death brings the total in Harris County, which includes Houston, to 29."

But while recovery for the devastated areas in Texas is not yet within view, another natural disaster is already striking, this time in the West. Franklin Graham shares about the dangerous fires blazing in California, Oregon, and Montana, and asks for prayer.

CNN shares that the fire in Los Angeles is the largest in the city's history. "California Gov. Jerry Brown issued a state of emergency for Los Angeles County on Sunday due to the ongoing La Tuna brush fire near Burbank. Since the fire started Friday, it has burned more than 5,895 acres, forced residents to evacuate from their homes, shut down an interstate and sent massive plumes of smoke into the air."

Currently, 25% of the fire has been contained, share local firefighters. Mandatory evacuations have been lifted, though there is still much work to be done to extinguish the fire. Will you pray for the fires raging in the West? Post your prayers in the comments! Thank you so much!
