In recent days, Joy Behar from “The View” was under major heat for her anti-Christian remarks. While discussing Vice President Mike Pence’s faith on a recent episode of the American talk show, Behar suggested that Pence was “mentally ill” because he hears Jesus speak to him.
“It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness if I’m not correct, hearing voices,” Behar stated.
Several conservative Christian viewers took great offense to Behar’s remarks threatening boycotts and even suggesting ABC fire Behar or pull the show entirely.
As reported earlier, Behar and ABC stayed completely silent on the backlash and did not release an apology statement. Additionally, the network received more than 30,000 complaint calls about Behar’s comments that they refused to take action on.
However, new reports suggested that Behar did react to her anti-Christian remarks in secret. One reporter for the Los Angeles Times and a separate reporter from the Washington Post shared the update on Twitter Thursday morning.
Both reporters insisted that she apologized.
According to Fox News, Behar’s apology took place during a shareholder meeting. Behar and/or ABC have not officially confirmed this information, stated Fox.
In a recent Fox analysis segment, host Ainsley Earhardt had a Biblical explanation for Behar’s anti-Christian comments. Read the details here.
