Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth and her husband Austin are going through hard times. The couple needs our prayers after they announced that Joy-Anna had a miscarriage.

The couple announced the sad news in a heartbreaking Instagram post.

"Today marks one week since we heard these words… 'So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.'"

The caption continued, "We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl."

The couple revealed that they don't understand why God has put them through this trial, but that they feel His peace.

"God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me” (2 Sam 12:23). We don’t grieve as those who have no hope because we trust that we will see this little one again."

The couple also shared the name that they had in mind for their baby. They named her Annabell Elise.

"Annabell means 'God has favored me', and Elise means 'God satisfies'. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus."

The couple closed by asking for prayers. They are seeking healing physically and emotionally.

"Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well."

After the initial post, the couple shared photos of them with their baby girl.

"We only had her for 20 weeks, Life is fragile and precious. So thankful the Lord gave her to us for that short time! She will be in our hearts forever!"

The sad news lead to an outpouring of support from her family. They shared their condolences.

"We love y’all so much and we grieve with you over this loss. I love the name you chose and the meaning behind it. Annabell Elise will forever be in our hearts," wrote Jessa Seewald.

Jeremy Vuolo added, "We love you and are praying for you. Your trust in the Lord throughout these days has inspired me to know God more intimately. I look forward to meeting Annabell Elise with you in heaven."

Anna Duggar also commented, "Heartbroken over your loss. We are so thankful for the joy her life brought and we look forward to seeing Annabel when we see Jesus in heaven. Love you so much Joy and Austin!

Please join us in praying for Joy-Anna and Austin. This is a terrible loss.
