Josh Groban Was Only A Half-Block From Recent Terror Attack, Recalls the Horror

On Tuesday, October 31, a terrorist attack took place in New York City. 29-year-old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov drove a Home Depot truck straight into a cycling path, hitting pedestrians and bicyclists.

Saipov was eventually stopped when he rammed into a school bus. He then ran out of his truck waving around two guns, later discovered to be a paintball gun and pellet gun. He was also yelling "allahu akbar." After killing at least 8 people and injuring a dozen more, Saipov was shot, taken into custody, and hospitalized.

After the incident, police discovered a note near Saipov's truck that linked him to ISIS. Investigators are still working on determining the definite motive and inspiration behind the attack, however, and will know more when Saipov recovers from the injury.

Near the attack was beloved singer-songwriter Josh Groban. He was walking his dog only a half-block away from the attack and could hear the panic and gunshots nearby.

Groban sent out a series of tweets describing the incident and the horrific sounds that he heard. He said that he was originally planning to grab coffee even closer to the attack, but that his dog pulled him in a different direction.

Thankfully, Josh Groban was safe from harm. However, many others sadly lost their lives in this senseless crime.

Please continue praying for the families and friends who lost loved ones in this attack, and for those still injured. Share your prayers on Facebook. This morning, President Trump issued an extreme warning and solution in light of the attack.
