“Heavyweights,” a 1995 comedy movie, was a popular hit back in the 90s. The comedy, which revolves around young boys at an overweight summer camp, stars notable names like Jerry Stiller and Ben Stiller.

One of Stiller’s former co-stars from the movie, Joseph Wayne Miller, sadly passed away on Tuesday, January 9th. He was only 36 years old at the time of his death.

Miller played “Salami Sam” in the movie. It appears that this character was his only notable acting role.

According to TMZ, family members revealed that he died in his sleep. Miller’s mother, Patricia, also noted that he did suffer from sleep apnea—a potentially serious sleep disorder that impacts normal breathing patterns.

His body was reportedly discovered by his girlfriend. Currently, the official cause of death is unknown.

This story is developing and will be updated accordingly if more information is released to the public.
