Secretary of State John Kerry was recently in Vienna, Austria to fight back against the dangerous threat that he feels is just as menacing and dangerous as ISIS.
The threat Kerry is referring to has nothing to do with radical Islamic terrorism. It is something that is lurking in the home of every American. According to Fox News, Kerry is trying to lead the fight against hydrofluorocarbons from appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
“The use of hydrofluorocarbons is unfortunately growing,” Kerry said. “Already, the HFC’s use in refrigerators, air conditioners, and other items are emitting an entire gigaton of carbon dioxide-equivalent pollution into the atmosphere annually.”
Kerry believes that the threat from household appliances is at the very least equal to radical Islamic terrorism. “As we were working together on the challenge of ISIS and terrorism, it’s hard for some people to grasp it,” Kerry said, “but what we, you are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself.”
Do you agree with Kerry? Or do you think he is being overly dramatic?
