One of the biggest names in the NFL has just done something amazing. After learning about a tragedy in Wisconsin, J.J. Watt stepped up in an incredible way.

"Houston Texans star J.J. Watt donated $10,000 to the family of a Wisconsin firefighter who was shot and killed Wednesday responding to a medical call. Watt, whose father is a retired firefighter, made the donation to a GoFundMe page set up for Appleton firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard," reported Fox.

The shooting is said to have also left another police officer injured as well as wounding a bystander. The gunman was killed in the incident. Watt's donation was very generous towards the GoFundMe amount.

"Along with Watt’s donation, the GoFundMe raised more than $80,000 as of Friday. The donations will go to support Lundgaard’s wife and three children. Lundgaard was a 14-year veteran of the Appleton Fire Department," wrote Fox.

Fans were inspired by J.J. Watt's contribution but they weren't very surprised. He has a long history of being civically engaged and very generous.

"The J.J. Watt Foundation raised $41.6 million to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in 2018. According to ESPN, the money was distributed to All Hands and Hearts, Americares, Boys & Girls Clubs, Baker Ripley, Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children and SBP," said Fox.

Join us in praying for the family of the fallen hero. We pray God brings them peace and comfort. Also, join us in thankful J.J. for being a terrific leader on and off the field!
