Jimmy Fallon Accused of Enabling Horatio Sanz in Misconduct Lawsuit

Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels Tracy MorganYou are being named as a defendant in a sexual misconduct case against you Horatio SanzThe plaintiff claimed that they had enabled the Saturday Night Live star’s behavior.

The woman, identified only as “Jane Doe,” filed a complaint in August 2021 claiming that Sanz, 53, groomed her when she was a teenage superfan of the variety show and provided her with alcohol before groping her against her will when she was 17. In her newest filing, she claimed that the trio enabled the comedian’s behavior when she attended SNLAfterparties held between 2000 and 2002

According to court documents, The Hollywood ReporterAccording to the woman, Fallon, 47, and Sanz would have a drink with her, and that she once asked her about her age. She claims that she told him that she was a junior high school student at the time. Jane Doe also claims that she met Michaels (77) at one of the parties. He gave her advice regarding pursuing a career as a writer.

The complaint claims Morgan, 53, rented a space in May 2002 for an after-after party, where Sanz allegedly groped Morgan. Sanz’ lawyer, Andrew BrettlerThe woman denied the allegation and claimed that she sought a multimillion dollar payout before she filed her lawsuit.

Jane Doe stated in her original complaint that Sanz began grooming and sending her explicit messages on AOL Instant messenger in the early 2000s. The suit also claimed the following: Year One actor frequently requested “inappropriate” and “revealing” photos from her. Plaintiff also claimed that she was depressed after the experience and needed to go to hospital for self-harm and self medication.

According to her filing, the woman claimed she was invited to the show by Sanz and Fallon one year after creating a Fallon fan page in 1999. He allegedly kissed her on the cheek, and then placed his hands on her waist. She and her friends traveled to New York every year for autographs, and she was invited to an afterparty at 16 years old. She claims that she was a alcoholic and danced at the party before Sanz invited her to join her and other guests to view the sunrise from the rooftop.

Jane Doe stated that Sanz and Jane began to communicate frequently from that point on. Wreck-It RalphStar often brings up sexual topics. She claims that she attended many more SNL afterparties in the late 2001 and early2002, before she attended May 2002’s event where Sanz allegedly kissed and groped she before trying to digitally penetrate. He was 32 years old at the time.

Per THRThe lawsuit also quoted text messages Sanz allegedly sent to the woman in 2019, where he acknowledged their relationship was wrong and apologized. “If you want to metoo me you have every right. Just believe me I’m not like that anymore,” the comedian allegedly wrote.

At the time, Sanz’ attorney called the allegations “categorically false,” and accused Jane Doe of asking for money in order to keep her story out of the press. “However often she repeats her ludicrous allegations or tries to rope in other high-profile names to generate media attention, they will always be false,” the statement said at the time. “Before filing this lawsuit anonymously, she demanded $7.5 million in exchange for her silence. We, of course, refused and will vigorously contest these totally meritless claims.”
