Comedian, 14-Year Long Game Show Host Dies with Wife by His Side

On Wednesday morning, March 14th, English comedian, actor, and game show host Jim Bowen passed away. He was 80 years old at the time of his death.

Bowen was best-known for hosting “Bullseye,” a British darts-themed game show where contestants could win a variety of luxury prizes. He hosted the popular 1980-1990s television show for a long 14 years.

According to BBC, Bowen died with his wife by his side following several weeks in the hospital. Previously in his life, Bowen had also suffered two strokes.

"He passed away very peacefully, [his wife] was with him. We are all shedding a tear," family friend John Pleus said.

Several fans and others in the entertainment industry paid a tribute to the late comedian on social media.
