Jill Duggar Under Fire For Her Caption of the Photo She Just Posted

Jill and Derrick Dillard are under fire yet again. This time it's Duggar daughter Jill who is attracting the ire of the internet.

The 26-year-old took to Instagram to congratulate her litter sister Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin Forsyth, on the birth of their baby boy, Gideon Martyn Forsyth. The hashtag she used in the caption of the post has people losing their minds.

In the caption of the photo Jill posted, which showed Joy-Anna with her baby, Jill wrote, "Congrats @austinandjoyforsyth on baby Gideon!! We are so happy for y’all. #anotherbuddyinourteam #favoritetia."

It was the #favoritetia that caused the backlash. They claimed that by calling herself the little boy's favorite aunt in Spanish, she's guilty of cultural appropriation.

One person on Reddit said, "I'm Hispanic, and it feels like she is using Spanish to seem cool, hip, whatever. Sounds like cultural appropriation to me."

Another person wrote, "At this point, it feels like cultural appropriation. You're not in [Central America] anymore, Jill. Derick is not papa, you are not tia."

Jill and her husband spent some time as missionaries in Central America after their marriage. While there, they were learning Spanish. However, the couple came back to the states before the birth of their second child, Samuel.

Is there any problem with Jill using Spanish in her hashtag? Let us know in the comments.
