Actor and Broadway star Jeremy Jordan and his wife Ashley Spender are overjoyed to welcome their first child, reported Playbill.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, had their baby on Easter Sunday. Jordan shared the happy news in two Instagram posts.
In the first, he wrote, "The ink is temporary. The footprint is permanent" as a caption for a photo of a baby footprint on his arm.
In a subsequent post, he shared photos of his new baby girl. He also revealed her adorable name: Clara Eloise.
"Clara Eloise," wrote the 34-year-old "Supergirl" actor. "They tried to prepare us, but you defy all expectation. You are utter perfection."
He continued with a nod to his wife, "And to my incredible wife Ashley, I will never forget your bravery and strength. Yesterday, I fell in love with you all over again."
"Thank you as well to the incredible staff at @nyphospital and @weillcornell... And to Molly and Ron Spencer as well as @brauhala for keeping us going through the all nighter," added Jordan.
Clara was born at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Her father is currently starring as Dr. Pomatter in the musical "Waitress." Spencer is also a Broadway actress. She made her debut in "Hairspray" and played Sandy in "Grease."
Congratulations to the couple on their new baby!
