Kathie Lee Gifford’s Official Replacement for The Today Show Released

The Today Show fans are currently preparing for the departure of longtime co-host Kathie Lee Gifford. Gifford, who was a member of the show for 11 years, previously announced that she would be leaving the talk show to focus on pursuing Christian music and films.

April 5th is reportedly Gifford’s last day. Since Gifford’s bittersweet announcement, fans have been curious as to who will fill her role in April.

On the morning of Tuesday, February 26th, The Today Show confirmed that Gifford’s replacement will be a fan favorite television personality — Jenna Bush Hager. The former first daughter is already a contributor for the show and has made several “Today” appearances.

According to PEOPLE, Bush Hager, 37, is unbelievably excited about her new gig.

“I’m so excited, I can’t believe it,” the new host told PEOPLE. “It feels organic and it feels right. It just feels like the right time for me.”

“I’ve been the fill-in which is a fun position to be because there’s no pressure but you could just have a blast,” Bush Hager added. “So, to take it to the next level is awe-inducing.”

Bush Hager was reportedly the top choice for Gifford’s replacement. In addition to her popularity among fans, she also works well with all of the staff members on set.

Her new co-host Hoda Kotb even called Bush Hager “the perfect fit” for the role. Kotb and Bush Hager are sure to bring some amazing chemistry to the segment!
