The public has recently been celebrating the miraculous return of 13-year-old Jayme Closs. Nearly three months ago, Closs’ parents were found dead in their Wisconsin home, while young Jayme was missing.

21-year-old Jake Thomas Patterson was finally arrested and charged with the kidnapping of Jayme, and is also facing murder charges against her parents. Patterson reportedly broke into the Closs home by firing a shotgun at the door before shooting and killing Jayme’s mother and father. Although it is known that the suspect was clearly targeting Jayme, several other details remain unclear.

As the investigation continues, Jayme has returned home to be with her other family members. The first photos of Jayme since the kidnapping were released over the weekend.

According to PEOPLE, Jayme’s aunt revealed that her niece is doing fairly well given the unfortunate situation.

“Jayme had a pretty good night sleep,” Jayme’s aunt and new legal guardian stated. “It was great to know she was next to me all night what a great feeling to have her home.”

“As a family we will get through all of the healing process Jayme has. It will be a long road but we are family strong and we love this little girl so much!! We will do anything and everything!!” she added.

Patterson is set to make his first court appearance on Monday. Please stay tuned for additional details on the Jayme Closs case.

Please continue to pray for Jayme as she recovers. In breaking news, a legendary Christian singer said goodbye to his wife of 65 years.
