Last month, Jana Kramer and husband Mike Caussin revealed to the world that they were pregnant with their second child. Their first, Jolie, is two.
Earlier in July, Kramer shared an emotional video where she described the four miscarriages she’s endured, as well as her struggles with in vitro fertilization. Now that they were able to conceive naturally, they couldn’t be happier to announce that their baby is far enough along to host a gender reveal party.
On Monday, at a party with friends and family, they did just that. Wielding a golf club, Caussin, the former NFL tight end, struck at a piñata until confetti burst out. The color of the confetti indicated the sex of the baby.
It was all blue.
"My girlfriend Ashley called the doctor once the sex came in and she filled a piñata up with [blue] confetti," Kramer told US Weekly. "And then when we hit it, we were like, ‘Oh!’ Like, we were shocked. It was a really nice actual surprise."
“I was convinced it was a girl,” Kramer said. “Like, absolutely convinced with how sick I’ve been and the cravings I’ve had.”
She explained, “I was like, ‘OK, I’m definitely having another girl.’ And I kind of secretly wanted a girl because I never had a sister, so I always wanted to know what that was like.”
