On Thursday, August 2, horrible news was reported that reality TV star James "L.B." Bonner had passed away. The 30-year-old had taken his own life at his home in South Carolina.
Bonner was a former star on "My 600-Lb Life." He got into a car accident in 2013 and ended up losing his leg. That incident resulted in extreme weight gain, with his highest weight at 650 pounds. While he had struggled with his health throughout his life, he seemed to be doing a lot better with his health and had lost a significant amount of weight following the show.
Sadly, Bonner was discovered in a ditch on August 2 with a gunshot wound. Now, a troubling report has emerged about the day that he took his own life.
According to a new report by TMZ, the reality TV star called 911 just before his death. Sadly, the operator was unable to hear Bonner and therefore could do nothing to help until it was too late.
TMZ reported that Bonner called the emergency line and tried to give his location. However, after the operator told him that she was having difficulty understanding him, he hung up. When she tried to call back, Bonner's phone went straight to voicemail.
The site also noted that Bonner's mother called 911 as well, telling the operators that she was concerned her son would "do something stupid." She said that he had posted threats about hurting himself online.
Bonner's mother reportedly sought out several avenues of help, but no one was able to reach the reality TV star.
Sadly, James Bonner took his life at a young age, even though he may have sought out help just before his death. Please continue praying for his family during this devastating time.
