Ivanka Under Attack After Welcoming Future Sister-in-Law to the Family

July 26, 2018Jul 26, 2018

Ivanka Trump only wanted to welcome her sister-in-law to be to the family, but she found herself the target of hate.

On Tuesday, her brother-in-law Joshua Kushner and supermodel Karlie Kloss announced they were engaged to be married. Trump warmly welcomed Kloss to the family with a sweet comment on Kloss' Instagram post.

Calling Kloss her "sister," Ivanka made it clear that she's happy about the engagement. Even though Kloss voted for Clinton in the 2016 election, there doesn't seem to be any bad love between the two.

“So, so happy for you and Josh!” Ivanka wrote on Instagram. “I feel blessed to have you as a sister (!!!) Karlie and look forward to the decades of happy memories we will create together as a family."

She also wrote on her brother-in-law's announcement of the engagement.

“So incredibly happy for you Josh. You and Karlie are blessed to have found one another. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter + adventure for you both!”

Things took a nasty turn in the comments on Kloss' post. People began responding to Ivanka, telling her to die and wishing that her family was in jail.

One user said, "Just die already."

Another user added, "You really did not have to ruin the moment like this."

Not everyone was completely hostile to Ivanka. Some fans expressed their support of her and celebrated the fact that she and Kloss will be sisters soon.

One user wrote, "This message is so sweet and supportive. Nothing like family uniting and being happy for one another."

Another user said that she'd love to see Ivanka has a bridesmaid in their wedding.

Still, the majority of the comments were negative. Poor Ivanka! Hopefully she is able to move past the nastiness and still celebrate the couple.

Kushner and Kloss have been dating since 2012. They have been very private about their relationship. However, Kloss did share a picture of the beautiful ring he gave her. You have to see it!
