Old friends Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton have, of course, had a reason for a frenemy feud, given that their parents ran against each other in the 2016 presidential election. Coming from different sides of the political spectrum, the two young political activists have several disagreements on different issues.
One thing Trump and Clinton can agree on—privacy rights for former president Barack Obama’s daughter Malia Obama.
On Friday morning, the young women came to Malia’s defense after the 19-year-old was criticized over newly released footage. According to US Weekly, Malia was photographed smoking and kissing a man at a recent college tailgate.
The Harvard student was attending the Harvard-Yale football game when videotaped kissing someone and smoking a cigarette.
TMZ reported additional details on the incident. Watch the video below for more information.
First Daughter Ivanka Trump stated in response, “Malia Obama should be allowed the same privacy as her school aged peers. She is a young adult and private citizen, and should be OFF limits.”
Ex-first daughter Chelsea Clinton commented on her own social media page in agreement, “Malia Obama’s private life, as a young woman, a college student, a private citizen, should not be your clickbait. Be better.”
