Ivanka Trump called out Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a new interview with Fox News. The POTUS's daughter praised the economy his administration has created.
She also said that she believes that most Americans don't want to have everything handed to them. They aren't like Ocasio-Cortez, she said.
Fox News host Steve Hilton asked her, “You’ve got people who will see that offer from the Democrats, from the progressive Democrats, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Here’s the Green New Deal, here’s the guarantee of a job,’ and think, ‘yeah, that’s what I want, it’s that simple.’ What do you say to those people?” Hilton asked Ivanka Trump in the interview.
She replied, “I don’t think most Americans, in their heart, want to be given something. I’ve spent a lot of time traveling around this country over the last 4 years. People want to work for what they get."
She went on to say that she doesn't think a guaranteed minimum income is something that most people want.
She explained, “They want the ability to be able to secure a job. They want the ability to live in a country where’s there’s the potential for upward mobility.”
She also said that she thinks that people will realize that President Trump has been good for America. She says she thinks people look back at the past years and see an improvement.
“I think fundamentally if you ask yourself the question, ‘are we better today than we were yesterday or we were 2 years ago?’ The answer is, undoubtedly, yes,” Trump told Hilton. “So, as an American, families sitting down and thinking about their financial situation relative to a month ago or a year ago, America is doing very well and it stands in quite sharp contrast to the rest of the world. So, not only are we doing well, much of the world has slowed down in terms of the pace of their growth.”
Trump, as opposed to AOC, thinks that Americans want to work for what they get. Do you agree with her? Yesterday, AOC also said she thinks that Americans should not have children.
