The gunman responsible for the terrorist attack on the Christmas market in France has just been killed by police. His death comes hours after he perpetrated a heinous attack on innocent people in Strasbourg.

"The Strasbourg Christmas Market terrorist has been shot dead in a gun battle with police. Cherif Chekatt, the main suspect in the attack, was reportedly holed up in a warehouse in the Neudorf/Meinau area of the eastern French city," reported the Mirror.

Now, ISIS is claiming responsibility for the massacre. They are saying that Chekatt was a "soldier of the group" and carried out the attack in support of ISIS.

"The 29-year-old shouted 'Allahu Akbar' ("God is Greater") during a gun attack that lasted 20 to 30 minutes, a prosecutor claimed. It is believed Chekatt - wielding a handgun and a knife - was injured during a gun battle with security forces in central Strasbourg before he hijacked a taxi and escaped," reported the Mirror.

Please join us in praying for everyone effected by this horrible tragedy. We pray for an end to terror around the globe.
