On Monday morning, Prince William and Duchess Kate released special photos of their daughter, Princess Charlotte. The photos were taken of the 2-year-old before she left for her first day of school.
Princess Charlotte began preschool at Willcocks Nursery School, which is located next to London's Royal Albert Hall. According to People, it is very close to Kensington Palace as well and is located in a church hall.
A spokesman for Kensington Palace said, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning. The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School."
Below are the two adorable photos:
After the photos were released, the Internet could not get enough. Hundreds of users took to Twitter to talk about how adorable the royal is on her first day of school.
Many Twitter users started calling the princess "Her Royal Cuteness," noting how confident the young royal looked. While most people complimented Princess Charlotte and talked about how adorable the photos were, some decided to bash the royal family instead.
Some Twitter users said that it was inappropriate that people were blushing over Princess Charlotte's photos and her $162 coat when hundreds of other young children are starving in the U.K. Still, the majority of social media users could not get enough of the 2-year-old royal!
Big changes are ahead for the royal family in 2018: Princess Charlotte is beginning school, and in a few short months, she and Prince George will welcome a sibling. Additionally, Prince Harry will marry Meghan Markle! Congrats to the royal family on their exciting start to the year.
