Actors are known throughout the world for the famous roles they play on the screens. One of the oldest living film actresses has just passed away. Danielle Darrieux has died at the age of 100 after playing in over 100 movies.

Danielle was internationally known for her acting skills. She had roles in Hollywood movies but was most well-known in France. She died in France this past Wednesday.

“The star of director Max Ophuls’ classic early ’50s films ‘La Ronde’ and ‘The Earrings of Madame de…’ and Anatole Litvak’s 1936 ‘Mayerling’ also made some films in Hollywood and, late in life, starred, with an all-star cast of fellow French female movie stars, in Francois Ozon’s “8 Femmes,’” according to Page Six.

Even in her later years, Danielle still appeared in films. She played a role in 2002 in the musical “8 Fennes.” It was internationally acclaimed and even went on to win awards at the Berlin Film Festival.

Danielle was raised in Paris as a child. She even attended local art schools where she studied piano and cello. One of there first acting roles came when she was only 14 years old.
